What can we expect from Avengers: Infinity War?

Death. Defeat. Retreat. Exile. Resurgence. War. Triumph!

You are going to fight Thanos with the complete Infinity Gauntlet.

If you didn’t understand the peril the Avengers are in, read the above line again.

Infinity Gauntlet is the most powerful weapon in canon Marvel comics. In right hands, it has the potential to wipe out half of the universe with a snap of the fingers.

Okay, I agree that much will not be shown in MCU. Yet, the Gauntlet has the capability to kill the Earth with everyone on it infinite times.

Here is my story for Infinity War —

Thanos is in his quest to collect the Infinity Stones. Most probably to woo Death (Hela in MCU). However, she’s too powerful for him. So he must collect the stones to balance her. While collecting the stones, he comes to know that few of them are here, on Earth. He comes for them. However, Thor realizes the true power of the stones and assembles everyone to protect them.

They come together. Meanwhile, Loki gives Thanos the tesseract housing the Space stone, probably to save his own life.

Thanos kills every Nova corps and takes the orb housing the Power stone. Now he has two stones. But he’s yet not contended. He comes to take the others. The Avengers faces him, and while doing so, Captain America is killed. The Avengers are forced to retreat and remain in exile for sometime.

Then they meet hope. They meet Captain Marvel.

She provides a trustworthy leadership, the thing they were missing after the death of Steve. They hatch a plan, and slowly take out the Black Order.

Then they face Thanos. No they won’t fight him directly. Even with no Black Order and Captain Marvel, Thanos can still defeat them very easily. They will somehow seperate the gauntlet from Thanos, and will use it against him.

Thanos may be very powerful, but the stones dwarf him.

Finally the Avengers would win.

Films you should watch to best understand and appreciate Avengers: Infinity War?

What could be the possible plot of Avengers: Infinity War?

The Avengers: Infinity Wars Parts 1 and 2 will have the Avengers battling an immortal named Thanos, who has the power of the Infinity Stones.

Thanos:

Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Titanian Eternals.

Demonstrating enormous superhuman strength, stamina, and durability, Thanos can absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy and is capable of telekinesis, telepathy and matter manipulation. Thanos is a genius in virtually all known fields of advanced science and has created technology far exceeding contemporary Earth science. Thanos first appears in a cameo during the mid-credits of The Avengers (2012), Josh Brolin portrays the character in Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

Infinity Stones:

The Infinity Stones (or Soul Gems as they were originally dubbed when introduced in Marvel Comics in the ’70s) are six over-powered and indestructible artifacts, the most powerful in the Marvel universe. Each of the six has a unique property but together, they can be used to alter, destroy or recreate the entire universe. Together, they grant someone the power of a god.

In the comics, these are the six gems, differentiated by their color and attribute, offering abilities ranging from time-travel and bending the physical laws of the universe, to teleporting across the galaxy and controlling the souls of the living or dead: korra season 4 costume

In the comics, when Thanos has the gauntlet and all six gems equipped, he eradicates half of the living things in the universe before the remaining heroes join forces.

Really tells you about the kind of being Thanos is. Stormbreaker is a weapon forged by the famed Eitri from a dying star’s force, the same force that built the Infinity Gauntlet which can withstand and channel the power of the 6 stones. Will Marvel downplay Avengers: Infinity War like they downplayed Captain America: Civil War?

Marvel downplayed Civil War? Someone must’ve forgotten to tell me, because I recall every possible piece of merchandise being marketed as Team Cap or Team Iron Man. I think I still have a Team Cap vs. Team Iron Man tissue box somewhere… Literally every possible piece of merchandise was branded for Civil War. green arrow and black canary costumes 

As for marketing, Civil War was giant. Leading up to release, nearly every media outlet was speculating what would happen, the trailers were poured over countless times, and Civil War has all the movie buzz of that season. The press tour was pretty extensive as well. I remember my friends and I freaking out about Spider-Man’s debut months before Civil War hit theaters. The hype was huge.

Infinity War is shaping up to be even bigger than Civil War, maybe bigger than Avengers, of 2012. The Infinity War trailer practically broke the internet in November, five-ish months before Infinity War’s release. If a trailer in Novembergot that much hype, think how big the actual movie, in May, is going to be. injustice 2 joker costumes

Marvel is bringing home the marketing for Infinity War. I don’t think we’ll see as many Infinity War logos slapped on various ordinary products, but merchandise will be huge. Action figures, t-shirts, posters, LEGO sets, and that’s just the basic stuff. You can already buy some of the toys and things. Even now, in February, actors and actressss are starting to give interviews discussing Infinity War, and I can only imagine what the full press tour will look like. Marvel is marketing this movie as the culmination of ten years of movies. The big one, the climax, the end of what movies we’ve seen thus far, the beginning of a completely different MCU. It’s packed with so many characters. The storyline is so epic. I mean, all the superheroes in the MCU teaming up, with the balance of the world (maybe the galaxy? maybe the universe?) hanging in balance? What one thing or scene do you want to see in Avengers: Infinity War?

Scenario: Final Battle vs Thanos; Location: Earth

Almost all heroes are down. Steve Rogers was the last man standing and he just took a grunt of Thanos’ might — with an Infinity Gauntlet with ALL the Infinity Stones clearly glowing in his left hand. Steve’s vision was blurring, trying to pull him into the dark, but he held on. He could barely stand and fight, yes, but he held on. To hope. charlie and the chocolate factory anime

It seemed all was lost when suddenly, an arrow flies past Steve and straight towards Thanos.

The blue Infinity Stone glowed from the gauntlet, and suddenly, a small wormhole appeared in front of Thanos. The arrow flew harmlessly into the wormhole, and then disappeared.

“Well, so much for a surprise,” Hawkeye sighed, revealing himself from behind a stray boulder. “But maybe -” he added, “this will surprise you.” thea queen cosplay

Thanos heard something click at his Gauntlet, and looked down to check. A small circular device that blinked Red. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeep—

The device glowed steady red as it started to activate. The Gauntlet began to shrink! Before Thanos could even call forth the power of another Infinity Stone, the Gauntlet had already shrunk far enough that it squeezed tightly into his left hand, pressing every atom of his hand tighter and tighter until it could not bear the pressure of the shrinking Gauntlet. Another second later, the Gauntlet was at molecular size, and Thanos’ left hand had been crushed as it shrunk.

“Gauntlet retrieval success!” Ant-Man exclaimed as he reverted back to normal size, holding the Gauntlet in this hands. “But man, this thing’s heavy.”

“You fools! You’ll pay for this one day… for I, Thanos, shall return.” Thanos said as he gets aboard an abandoned fighter ship and escapes the battle.

And Hawkeye and Ant-man look on at the horizon; appreciating the skies and perhaps the most beautiful sunset they had seen in years.
